I have all the basics down. Question is, do I foil line the racks? Saw a video doing this. Pros? Cons? 5 pounds from my biggest deer kill (buck) ever!!!

whatever your mixture is ... add some onion flakes to it ... then show the pics .. btw .. nice buck ... points to you on the buck ..just back from vacation .. deep sea drinking in Caribbean

BBD, ditto on the mats and nice buck!The smoke gets through the mat for an even smoke.

I'm new to all this, I ordered frog mats from amazon, so far they seem to work well, keeps smaller pieces from falling through the racks.

Here is what I use in my MES40 smoker

It is not good to cut silicon mats to size and use them. Something about the internal material being bad where the outer silicon layer is safe.

I'm not sure walmart has them but worse case, you can order you some and be set for life :)
