I dont know what exaclty is in Montreal Steak seasoning, but it is mostly salt, black pepper, red pepper, garlic, onion and paprika.  So you could probably mix your own in a pinch.  Here's a recipe I found that yeidls about 2/3 cup.
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon granulated onion
  •  1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

Just reached 140 and I foiled it and stuck it in the fridge to slice late tonight so I can start eating sammies for lunch. Does it look too red?

Sure looks good. How was the texture? Was it chewy? I've been thinking about trying one but have been reading that they can be a bit tough. Even if they are I could slice it thin with my slicer and probably get past that.

Fantastic texture and it tore easily but didn't fall apart. I don't have a slicer so my electric knife had to do the job and I got it as thin as I could.. It'll be tossed on sub buns this week

I have to warn you on this one.  If you keep hanging around here, there will be a negative impact on your toy budget!  I can see a slicer in your near future.

Good luck and good smoking.

Google has been working overtime already LOL
A slicer is nice to have, I just wish I had one like Craig (fpnmf) has
