Looks great! How hot did the kettle get, and how crunchy was the crust?

Speaking of that, what did you use for crust?
I heated the kettle to 475-500, but temp dropped to about 450. The bottom was very nice and crunchy. I heated the stone for about 30 or 40 minutes before cooking the pie. I used a standard pizza crust recipe, nothing fancy but I did use a mix of bread and semolina flours.

That's a fine looking pizza cooker, I still haven't made on in the kettle. Someday.

Point for sure.
Chris

Looks great any chance of posting the dough recipe?
Richie

Sure, my crust is a riff on the basic crust recipe in “Pizza” by James McNair.

3 1/2 C. flour (I use 2 1/2 C. bread flour and 1 C. semolina)
1 C. warm water
1 envelope yeast
1T. sugar
1t. salt
1/4 C. olive oil

Proof yeast in warm water and sugar.
Add flour and sugar to bowl of mixer. (I use a kitchen aid)
Add water with yeast and olive oil and mix until liquid absorbed and dough stretchy.
I like to give the dough a few turns by hand.
Put in greased bowl and let double
Knock down give a few more turns and put in bowl and let rise again
Let rise a second time until doubled.
Knock down and use

Pizza on the grill is awesome and yours looks amazing. Just as an aside, even frozen pizza baked on the grill takes on a new flavor dimension that kicks it up a notch. If you've not tried it, I recommend it.

Looks great! I might just have to try that dough recipe. I've only cooked a Papa Murphy's pizza on my pellet grill and they turn out incredible. Would be that much better with a homemade one!

Save me a piece? ;)

All I got is a little weber, I don't think I could do a pizza on it sadly! Might try <might end up cleaning pizza out of the weber too>

Be glad to.
But, do try. It was easier than I thought it would be. But a pizza peel will make your life, not to mention loading and unloading the pizza a lot easier.

I got a Big ole horizontal drum, I might try it on that, just pile every thing on one end and away I go.

I actually have a pizza pan with small holes in it, I'd need to check if grill safe or not, but then I could get the nice charring on the bottom too! Still not as good as a pizza stone I bet.

I have two pizza peels, one wood, one metal, and I've never got the hang of loading a pizza without using parchment paper. Every time I try, I end up turning it into a calzone. I probably need to use more flour when I'm stretching the dough, but eh, it works fine with parchment paper.

That's one fine looking pizza BTW.
