Hey all! Saw the local grocer had a sale on some pork shoulders and my little lady wanted a dinner and a movie date night. Is there a better excuse to watch smokey and the bandit and smoke up some shoulder? nope? I couldnt come up with one either. ;-)
So here we go:
- 3.75 lb, bone in, pork shoulder
- dry rubbed and let sit overnight with some salt, brown sugar, garlic powder, and cayenne powder, and a touch of cinnamon.
- smoked with mesquite wood between 225 and 240 until internal temp reached 185.
- Let sit for 30 mins, wrapped in foil, and covered in a mix of Apple cider vinegar, crushed red pepper flake, and remaining unused dry rub.
-(didnt get pics of this part) then served with home-made biscuits and oven roasted brussel sprouts!
Now time for some Q-View:
