Hey all,

I am considering making my first fatty which is definitely out of my comfort zone. The only problem is, I know nothing about them and all I can seem to find are people who know what they are doing. I could really use some tips and pointers about the whole process and even a couple of ideas for a beginner fatty would be great. A friend of mine sent me a picture of the one he is doing and now it has me in the mood to try one myself...wonder what the wife will think.....

JJ has you going in the right direction.  That is the same link I used to learn the art of fatty.

Don't worry about what the wife thinks, just do it!  My wife doesn't like them but the boys love 'em.

I have 2 on the smoker now, 240* for about 3hrs. Prob gonna go a bit higher to crisp bacon towards the end, however with a temp of 28* outside, I may have to bring in the oven and blast it a few minutes.
