First ever attempt at meat smoking

Dutch I've been drooling over that mahongany sauce. Would Brandy work instead of whiskey? I have Black Velvet Canadian whiskey and Christian Brothers Brady but not JD whiskey.

Debi, Whatever you have on hand should work. There's been a time or two when I have made this sauce that I haven't added the adult libations and it still tastes great.
