That looks pretty darn good from here. How was the flavor and juiciness?
Very good! Just pulled apart no problem - the shoulder blade just slid out. Nice smoke layer on the exterior, bark was still pretty solid.

Both with and without BBQ sauce was delicious!

Thank you everyone for the help - you made this a success!

That’s awsome first try at PP. congratulations. Good experience under your belt now. Keep asking, we will keep helping. Looks great.

Congratulations on the smoke. Like the spelling. LOL

Dude looks darn good from way down here in Mississippi. Like many others have said....After ya wrap in foil your just cooking. The bark and smoke flavor is there. Heat is heat. And when its as cold out as where you are, I'd rather be inside.

That looks fantastic. And the bark did look like it held up well. Now that you have completed the process you probably have a better understanding that it's really hard to describe what 'tender' is, how 'moistness' plays a factor, what pork actually feels like as you break down a butt, and most importantly how some muscles are more desirable than others.

Now, the quest continues because you can explore different rubs, maybe layers of rubs, and maybe injections.
