Finally started building my first smoker !

Chris,that smoker looks great so far....I hadn't thought of an ash drawer for mine until you mentioned it and I do want to use it with charcoal as well as electric ,so today I found a small 14 inch round table top bbq that I think is gonna work good for me ....maybe you could cut a rectangle door below the door on the fire box and weld up a pan to attach to the peice you cut out to make a drawer ? just a thought ,keep us updated on your build great job

i thought of cutting a "door" on the end, and welding a pan to it, to use as an ash drawer. i will use 1/8" plate for the drawer. i planned on making the fuel door on the side.
