So sad but oh so true. I'm about sick of the Kelce / Swift saga and due to that, y'all can rest assured that I will not be watching the game this year. They can have it. Go 49'ers!!

I hope sharing this doesn't get me banned from the whole internet, but it fits too well......just no words....

Any way now on to some real important business, since the submission deadline is a little less than two weeks away, Feb 18th, here is some additional motivation......

A pic of a Certified Piedmontese whole boneless striploin, since it is included in the CPB prize and I happen to have one in the freezer.....

Oh and this is a couple pictures of the kitchen knife blade profile from the spine/edge perspectives. It's hard to get a good pic from either of these perspectives because there is very little to focus on.... but here was my college try....

The spin has a distal taper with polished round edges so no hard edges to cause fatigue on the hand while cutting.....

The edge is a uniform apple seed shape throughout about 80% of the length then a slight compound distal taper thought the last 20% to the tip.....

PS, It is still awaiting the final edge on it so you can see that in the glare of the pic. The final edge is put on after the final hand polish and just before it is shipped.

Even better... make something and enter! Have to eat anyways! Kinda like the lottery... can't win if you don't play!

I have watched and enjoyed these throwdowns and voted in most. It is always interesting to see what people come up with and how they present it. One thing i've noticed is that to win, the dish has to look over the top appetizing and that takes some creativity that I do not have. There are others that have it in great abundance and I am always impressed with their artistry

Appealing to the eye is a plus, but I've also seen a few folks win whose entries weren't all that appealing in presentation. One never knows what's going to tickle the fancy of a judge or forum member.

SA, what Chris said.... and with the recent new category of "judge's choice" there are more ways to win. ie the forum poll, the group of judges, and then the judge choice. My advise is to keep the code words on a paper in the kitchen and then just take a simple picture of the "cook" of the day.... even paper plated items have won before.
