0 to 99

100 to 199

200 to 299

300 to 399

400 to 499

Once you hit 500, you will start gaining bright green dots on top of the 5 dark dots but it takes twice as much to gain a bright green dot.

500 to 699

700 to 899

900 to 1099

1100 to 1299
etc 1300 to 1499
etc 1500 and up

Okay. I think I understand now. Thank you. To those of you I gave points to, I did it wrong. My apologies. I won't make this mistake again.

Don't go by the tiles only for evaluating reputation, as it not accurate for many members that were with SMF prior to the server crash a little over a year ago. Many of those members had earned numerous tiles that were lost with the server crash.

Nice to know how it works, but I pay attention to people's attitudes and information - can't always trust the tiles.

I think a lot of people don't even know that little scale icon exists

There is only one way for a member to give points and that is clicking on the scales in someones post

That is what I was doing. But instead of actual points, I was leaving comments. I thought that was the way to leave points.

That is how you do it, click on the scales and leave a comment on why you approve. The # of points awarded is based on your level, the higher your rep the more points that is left.
