Howdy All;

with something I do fairly well ... askin' questions.

I've spent the better part of yesterday lookin' at and readin'  all the posts over on

TVWBB and here lookin and confusin' myself with all the ideas for building a 'mini WSM'

I have a SJS and the main point I'm lookin' at most folks havin' a problem with

is the air intake getting clogged with ash. Now, maybe someone has already thought of this,

maybe not ... How's the idea of using a section of 4" exhaust pipe cut to the necessary height

grab ya ??? I don't know if it a good steel for using for a cooker or not ... just thought I'd throw

it out there an see if it goes under the bus or flys on the flag pole...

Thanks for takin' the time to consider  this...

hankaye, morning....  here is one solution from a recent thread....  I'm trying this one..... it's cheap and a few folks use it....  The tin is from a large "tuna type" can.....  nepas suggested a few more holes might be necessary...    Dave

Doing the can over the bottom vent. I used my step drill bit to do the holes.

Im thinking the charcoal around the can and not to cover over it.
