We've been without a toaster a few years now. We'd use the oven for anything if needed. Last one worked OK but we retired it. Chalked it up to we're not toast people much anymore. I noticed the wife using the oven more and more lately so decided grab a new one and boy I am happy I did! It's FANTASTIC. I didn't research extensively but just grabbed one that caught my eye. I lucked out I guess. I am NOT easily impressed but I am with the thing. For me, the ideal toast is pretty dark BUT still soft and this thing just _KILLS_ that. Digitally and intelligent apparently. I got it for just over $30, snagged a 5% off somehow. Pretty fired up as we got eggs benny on deck for Easter and I ran CB for it. Heads up tho, if you're like my Dad and want your toast to tear the roof of your mouth out with every bite, this is NOT for you! :emoji_laughing:

I just buried an old one a few months ago and the cheapie I bought isn't good. I rarely toast the keto bread but every now and then I do. I'll have to add this to my wishlist

How ironic, my toaster decided to jump off the counter the other day. You woulda had me if I hadn't already bought one.

I have a cheap one from a thrift store. It has Bagel mode... also works on english muffins for making eggs Benedict. Yum!

bought this one at Walmart. Was a little put off that it was a Drew Barrymore product.
Was tired of looking at tired reviews. Its a great toaster with gimmicky touch panel controls.. once you learn what number you like it works wonderfully. we mostly toast English muffins for breakfast sandwiches. its a little big but o far so good. actually the first toaster I ever bought.
click on robot thingy below,

TOASTERS

Have never had one that really fits the bill. And been through quite a few.
Either comes out too dark or too light and have to send it down again. Than really too dark.
And the auto controls that it sets itself back to #4 , I like it just a little more toasted. so I forget to push to #5.
God forbid you want a second set of toast right away, it comes out almost white .

There I'm done now , LOL

We have been running a Cuisinart for 8-10 years or so, it makes good toast and a waffle once in awhile, only thing I don't like is the bread sets very low and I will have to lift on the lever to get it high enough to not tear the crust off. No more than what we use it I can't complain, it's a 4 slice and the wife said she wanted a 2 slice when we bought it, I said no way lol. Grandkids were coming out a lot when we got it but trying to feed 4 with toast ect would take double the time, somebody gets lucky with the first sandwich and I would be pulling up the rear.

Not really a toast-guy myself. I have a countertop convection oven that has a toast setting. Works well enough. When I was a kid, 8 years old perhaps, I made a grilled cheese sammie in our toaster. Mom wasn't too happy. Yours looks nice.

Was kinda the same until this guy. I was typically wrapping a BLT in the fridge a few hours to soften but no more! I honestly think some people might be turned off how soft it is. I LOVE it tho.

Youngest made a toaster strudel before school and didn't finish OMG it was so good. Grabbing some bread today. My fave toast is rye or pumpernickel buttered with PB. Also LOVE me some good homemade jelly on toast too. Parents run red currant.
