Here is my version of Beer Can Chicken, Had a local guy make me a couple of these about 10 years ago (Stainless) you can put what ever liquid you like, I use apple juice most of the time, soaked my chicken since noon in water with salt, sugar, and a little seasoning, rinsed it off, rubbed it with olive oil and my BBQ rub, than on the grill, Just right for me and the Mrs.

I'm trying to figure out how you get the lid to close on the grill. I can never get the lid to close in my offset smoker to grill these.
