Early morning pork butt

Fired up the smoker at 4 this morning, and put my pork on around 4:30. I tryed rubbing it with mustard first, and then applied the rub, wrapped in clear wrap, and let sit in the fridge over night. Its been on about 3 hrs, now i'm spraying every hour with Capt. Morg, and apple juice. Can't wait until this afternoon. I'll post more q-view as the day goes on.

Here it is pulled and ready for foil at 165o. Going to cheat and finish in the oven until 195, because I am running out of charcoal.

Looks very good, I would have rather been doing that instead of swingin the ole hammer today.

I will be squeezing 4 of them bad boys into the Charbroil silver on sunday morning about the same time. 4 is max for my lil rig, and when its time to stand there and pull 4 of them, it kills my back. Its crazy, I can stand ina boat and fish in 4 ft waves all day no problem, but to stand at the counter for an hr, pullin Butt, really gets my neck and upper back somethin terrible.

Might be time to teach the 16 and 18 yr old sons how to shredd some butt! LOL.
