We were doing our weekly shopping restock and I happened to see Johnsonville Dr Pepper inspired sausages.

Now, I like Dr Pepper, wife is a bigger fan than I am and we both like grilled sausages. Im not sure about them made together.

Seeing as happy wife, happy life is the house motto, firing up the BGE here shortly and tossing them on.

Also, I know theres a love/hate relationship here with Johnsonville, I get it, but to me, dang it their brats are tasty and Ive been to Wilwaukee and had their brats. Jville is a-ok in my book

I've seen those before . Never had them , but a local guy here make a honey pecan brat . Not bad . Be interested to hear how sweet those are .
Nothing wrong with Johnsonville . When they go on sale I stock up .

Wife and I tried them a few weeks ago. They seemed weirdly fake and cloying. We smoked them, then rolled on a hot grill. Not something I'd buy again but your mileage may vary. Loved the idea when I saw them!

Best way to describe them is meaty Dr Pepper, definitely with a nod of Dr Pepper, lil spicy brown helped balance the sweetness out a bit.

I wouldnt say they are horrible, they were fine for dinner but we wont be buying them again.
