I think Dave might have not noticed the "analog" part of the subject...?  My MES 30 analog doesn't have one and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to... but I could be wrong.

Jesse, evening... You are right... I did not notice the analog in the header and it didn't click when answering Jim's question...

While the Masterbuilt analog model does not have a gasket on the door or body, I have seen posts describing mods/designs for attaching a gasket to the door/body of a smoker. A gasket can reduce the smoke leaking out from the smoker (which is nice), but it probably won't make much of a difference in how well the smoker performs. If you want to do such a mod, there are various gasket materials that would be suitable for this purpose. Search this forum for 'gasket' and similar and you will find it discussed along with some pictures.
