Door Frame Question...

im looking for a new exterior steel door i found one at lowes that says framed ready to be put in...would that include the threshold and everything except the handle and deadbolt?...thanks for all the help its very much appreciated...

Typically an exterior door unit will come with everything including the threshold, weather stripping and exterior trim (brick mold). You need to supply the interior trim or casings.
Make sure you know your wall thickness before buying, they stock them for 4" and 6" walls.

I agree with Dan and say that a normal exterior entrance door normally comes with a threshold and the outside trim. Now the knob holes shold be drill out already you just have to get the knob set that you want. One note is check the backset of the knob set-up.

How long do you Smoke these to get them Tender??? Do you Brine or Rub???...JJ

Texasman, morning.....  I learned a "trick" when installing pre hung doors that might come in handy.....   Connect a string to opposing corners of the door frame so they make an X across the middle of the door.....  When securing the door frame to the house framing, the crossing strings should "just touch".....  this will insure the door closes properly in the door frame and eliminates the twist that could occur if the walls are not true.....  I put in a door that the walls were not true.... a real pain.... learned that trick too late.....  I lined up the door casing with the walls.... STUPID !!!!!
