It does seem that way. Just give them time. They are still working on it.

I use my phone for most internet stuff. It took me a couple of days but I’ve come around to it. It doesn’t actually function that much differently.

i find it hard to use.. and I think when I post a new subject I am isolated with any reponse...
The forum has been slow . It was slow before the change was done or even mentioned . That being said , I just looked at your activity . I had looked at your post on smoking burgers earlier . Just didn't comment . I do agree with you ,,, Hang in there .

I hate needless change as well, but I think the site needed some new software and a server to handle the traffic. So - here we are. I do know there are several features that are still being worked on including getting the carousel back up on the home page.

There were several reason for the change. 1 was because we have become so big. This is a good and bad problem. Its bad because when you move forums there is a massive amount of data that needs to be loaded and indexed so that the search engine and all will work.
We are now on a bigger, faster, and better server. Our last platform had some issues that had corrupted our database so it has taken a while to get it all worked out. Be patient because we have way more control over our stuff now and that is a good thing. After all of the bugs from phase 1 are done we will start activating features like the home page carousel.

Thank you all for your patience. I know TulsaJeff TulsaJeff appreciates it as well.

I too don not like change but being a relatively new member I can't say as I will miss the old. I'll embrace the new with guarded enthusiasm and try to get used to maneuvering around. Some of the terminology is confusing but I'm confident by "pushing buttons" I'll figure it out !! That is all, smoke on !!

I too suffer from Psycho Sclerosis at my age (harding of the atitudes) but will try to continue monitoring, maybe even change a little!:)

PS. Need more emojis.

I always had the symptoms, but I never new my illness had a name. Psycho Sclerosis.

I went to WebMD and it said there is no cure but it is manageable with the consumption of bourbon, beer, and smoked meats

Personally I really enjoy the new format, especially the automatic draft saves in a reply, and the way the images are being handled when using 3rd party hosting. Sure, the current platform is different, but it typically takes a while to become accustomed to a new way of doing things.

Kudos to the administration, because it is always a daunting prospect to change the way things are done.

With the old format I could zip through everything in my sleep. Now I have to pay attention, but it is starting to grow on me.

I keep finding little things that surprise me. Yesterday, when I was writing a reply to a thread, I had written 225F in the post. Next thing I know my cursor is hovering near the temp, and a little window popped up making the conversion to Centigrade, showing 107C. I thought, "Okay, that's cool!" I couldn't get it to happen again, but there for an instant I was REALLY impressed.

I miss all the emoticons.
