I have been following this thread.  

A guy just told me today,

He had the best and most smooth coffee from a local diner.

He asked why hers was so good, she said add salt the the coffee  before brewing?????

Just throwing that out there.
 
Salt?? That is very interesting....
I dont know.    Just from a customer, that comes to the dealership.

She said just take a handful and sprinkle it on.

Someone needs to try this.

 We had Bunn coffee makers. SS 416, SSN 681, SSBN 658(G), but that was a year or two ago.

Last float I took was the Essex and they had machines that I'm pretty sure used some kind of coffee syrup like a soda fountain. The chiefs mess probably had better but I was a lowly lance corporal so it was straight days of chili Mac and bad coffee. I actually had better coffee in Iraq.
