My 17yo son was recently diagnosed type 1 Diabetic. What are you doing for the diabetic in your life? Do you completely revise your recipe's to reduce sugars or keep smoking as usual and have them enjoy in moderation?
It's more then sugar, it's carbs in general. I try to stick to a low carb diet but fall off the wagon once in awhile to satisfy my carb tooth. All in moderation as they say.
I've been using more salt and pepper rubs and low carb sauces(when I use sauce). I'm type 2, so I'm more concerned with keeping blood sugar low than you may need to be with type 1.
