Hello All,

I know that keeping pellets dry is very important to keeping the AMPS lit. I have access to a large supply of desiccant packets that came with computers that we received here at work. Is it safe to toss a few of those in a container with some pellets to keep them nice and dry? My thought is yes but I don't know if they give off anything nasty while drying the air. And of course I would be careful to not put any punctured packets in with my pellets. I did a search for desiccant in the forums and came up with zero hits.

Thanks!

I'm following DaveOmaks suggestion:
Dry your pellets in your smoker at 275 for 24 hours. Worked great for me, although I did not go 24 hours.
More like 12ish.

Better than trying to reuse packets.
