Using one of the many recipes out there and added a few things to rev it up a tad.

Marinade

  • ▢2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ▢2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • ▢1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ▢1 teaspoon ground lemon pepper
  • ▢1 teaspoon curry powder (red)
  • ▢1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • ▢1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ▢1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ▢¼ teaspoon coriander
  • ▢2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
This is just a base recipe that is on every site you go to so I added the kitchen sink also LOL
Been in the dehydrator since 10AM
9 racks of cold wet meat takes a while so I will post finished photos when done.
Son came home from work around 6PM and said the basement smells ahsome.
Hopefully it still does when done.

Almost 10 & half hours for just over 8 pounds of ground beef (9trays) @ 155 in the dehydrator and its done.
Did the bend test and it passed.
Did the taste test and it was wonderful, just the right amount of heat.
Sometimes when I change recipes up I tend to over do it but not this time.
Leave them in the basement over night and take care of them tomorrow, that means hide from the kid :)

Now that's a load of jerky. I bet its great!
The couple of peices I had I really liked the flavor. I'm not much into heat any more in my old age and these so far are just perfect on the heat level.
Going to vac seal most this morning. Leave some out for my son to take to work.
