D.O. Pies

Spent the last 6 days camping and took along the Dutch Oven to play with it some more. One night we did an apple pie and the next night we did a blueberry (fresh locally).

Both came out fantastic! The fresh blueberry was incredible, the only thing missing was ice cream on the side.

Those look soooooo good!  Love seeing pics of Cast iron anything being cooked in.....not as a chip tray.

Thanks Kat, the Blueberry came out sooo good. I am going to have to try more things with the D.O. it works so well.

Great looking pie! Pick up an ice cream ball from YayLabs, then you can have ice cream while camping! We have two and the kids love kicking the thing around the campsite knowing they will get ice cream in about 15 minutes!
