It can grow on you.

I like it . Few things to consider on these that would " help " , but there is not one thing wrong with that in my opinion .
What did you finish it with , mineral oil ? I have both , ( Howards ) but like the butcher block conditioner because it adds some color / darkens the boards .

For a small board. It has some heft to it.

Perfect for a " Butchers " block . Make some large wooden feet for it , or just add a larger size in the rubber . I found a good source for feet if you're interested .
