So I built this thing not really thinking about the size of it and it is WAY bigger than we would ever need. My intention is to find a new home for this one and build a smaller version to keep. I'm not looking to make money off of it, just recoup my costs and get a little bit for my time. I posted this not long ago and since posting, I did some modifications to the inside to make it vastly more efficient as far as getting up to temp and recovering after the door has been opened. This thing actually has the capacity for competition cooking or even commercial catering. There is enough room between the cooking grates that two or possibly even three more racks could be added if the additional space was needed. Here is the link to the thread I did on it:

I'd like to get somewhere in the area of $2500 but will consider a reasonable offer. Please feel free to shoot me a PM if you're interested or have any questions.

You did a great job on your smoker Robert.

I would have the same problem with it that you have. I just don't cook for enough mouths to justify it.

It sure looks like it's worth more than your asking price.

Fantastic job you did fabricating that smoker Robert, someone will get a really nice unit at a great price! RAY

Impressive undertaking. Would you be able to post close up pics how the door is attached? Any chance of it sagging?

Wow, what a build. Beautiful and bulletproof. I hope you are including a crane to help with the transport :emoji_astonished:

Thanks so much and apologies for the delay in responding. Been working on another grill for a forum member and time has just gotten away from me...but I didn't forget :emoji_wink:

The first hinges I put on would not go to 90 degrees believe it or not and of course, I didn't notice it until they were all installed. Weird part is that with the smoker laying on the floor the door opened and closed fine. As soon as I stood the thing up, they started binding, twisting the steel, and actually popping the welds. That wasn't gonna work so I cut them off and went to the hardware store to see what they had. The ones on it now are actually heavy duty gate hinges. They were intended to be bolted on and supposedly have a weight capacity of 400 pounds each. Based on that I see no way they will sag...at least hope not being that the door weighs in the area of 70 pounds. You can see that I tried (somewhat unsuccessfully) to fill the bolt holes by welding them then grinding them off so they would be somewhat smooth.

If you have any more Q's, don't hesitate to ask.

You are a craftsman. If I was looking for a cabinet ….and hadn’t already committed to Bell fab for a horizontal we’d definitely be talking. Your price is a steal for that work.

Thanks for the kind words...and no, providing the crane is the responsibility of the buyer :emoji_laughing: Shouldn't be too horrible bad though. I got it from the garage into the house and onto the patio by myself. Took a little creativity but I got it done.

That is one fantastic build, Robert! As someone who has little to no skills in this area, I'm amazed. You say you have little experience, it looks like you've been doing this for a long time, based on the finished products. Really nice work.
