Crock Pot Pulled Pork
(A man's got to do what a man's got to do) even it it means forgoing the smoker and cooking a pork butt in the crock pot !!!
I had a pork but that had been thawing in the fridge for several days and was trying to decide what I wanted to make ? Sausage, Ham, BBB, Pulled Pork, Hmmm. The wife said she would like to have a regular pork roast.
So after almost 50 years of marriage I do exactly what I want to do after I clear it with my wife.
Some of you remember earlier this year I got banned from smoking because I was smoking everything.
So moderation is the key. .
I didn't get any pics of the cooking process, a hunk of meat in the crock pot isn't to exciting.
But here is my process.
Unwrapped the Butt, rinsed, patted dry and seasoned with SPOG. Fired up my grill and put on the Butt for about an hour, to get a nice bark.
Into the Crock Pot with a little water, L&P BBQ sauce SPOG and some onion. Let it go about a half day on high, the the rest of the day on low. Bone fell out, removed all the meat, mixed a little corn starch with cold water and stirred it into the liquid in the CP. Returned the meat to the Pot and turned it on high for about an hour, Liquid made a nice gravy,
Made some nice pulled pork sandwiches and mashed potatoes for supper,
Her is a pic of my lunch today
