You wouldn't have nearly so many posts if you didn't have to tell my dumbarse the same thing so many times over and over until it sank in....but seriously, you have great tutorials and are the standard for which people should live their lives by.  Don't know the full story behind the OTBS suspension, but in my mind it is deserved for what you have done since I've been on the board, but unfortunately it isn't me that counts.  If  you ever happen to be in CO, stop by and I'll order pizza...LOL....just kidding, I make pretty good Q, but would upgrade to some ribeyes for you.  So here is to a happy and healthy life.

I totally agree Bear, Al was a great guy with some great smokes. I still use his brisket method of trimming the brisket lean and then placing all the fat trimmings on the upper rack so they render and baste the brisket bellow them.

Yup----That was a Great tip!!

I tried it & made one small change. I put the fat pieces in a foil pan with holes punched in the bottom, so it could drip on the meat, but when the pieces dry & shrink, they don't fall through my racks all over my smoker.

As usual I am late to the party........

You were one of the first names we all reconized after the first week on the boards, there were others also but when you consolidated to the Bear's Step By's, its was so much easier. When you need something new and different I come and check your posting. Always find a winner and its a totally new smoke. Thats win/win/win!!

I would like to say thank you for your time and effort. I feel kind of silly with saying stuff like I enjoyed meeting you, but you're sort of like a wart, you grew on me.

I know you've helpped all of us. I appreciate the sharing of your wisdom.

I can't believe they didn't get him yet. Now I heard he's setting up Booby traps in the area too. That is my old hunting area where he's supposed to be. If he's still there Monday before Thanksgiving, PA Bear hunters should get him.

Congrats John. You certainly shortened..make that flattened the mes learning curve for me. I've yet to have a misfire following your step by steps. While I'm at it I'd like to thank you for the extended camping trip that you took for all of us back in 69'.
