yes a welding blanket will help your smoker Homebrew, i have seen people fabricate a cover using welding blankets

Batteries died and i have none so no chicken pic's.
What a great day, been a while since i smoked so it was nice to get out!!

Well i was able to get the chicken............good flavor, real juicy and a little snap to the skin!!

Smoked over Pecan (thanks Dawg) at 300* and then finished off on the hot spot of my smoker at about 350*..........it work's!!

everything looks great Bubba, i crank it up the last little while to get some snap to the skin of the chicken

great job. i got a 7+lb butt in the freezer along with a 6lb loin and 5 fatties that need to be smoked soon...lol

might have to bring some meat done to you so we can have some good eats
