did my first crack on smoking chuck roast everyone thought they were excellent , sliced them and treated like brisket righ amount of smoke and overall flavor was great but next time I will ask meat counter to cut me a couple of thicker roasts these were just picked out of show case about 2.5/3.0 lbs will probably ask for something in the 5.0/5.5 lb range. just hate to experiment on a 50-60 dollar piece of meat (brisket) did it on my ok joe highland

Glad to hear it turned out so good!
Next time take a few photo’s so we can see what your work looks like!

Sounds mighty good. Chuckies are a favorite here for shredded beef.

Sounds really good. Been waiting for prices to come down before I buy any tho. Like al said...we are visual people, we like to drool over others people's food! :emoji_laughing:

Sounds great Ted. We do love our food porn pictures here next time.

Ted, I saw you posted that you are the Phoenix area.

You are a better man than me as it is too damn hot to smoke or grill for me.

But @sawhorseray does, and he is in Gilbert and I am in Sun Lakes (Chandler) area.

And yes always take pics cause if there are "no pics it didn't happen!"

I also like doing chuckies on the smoker, just picked up a couple of large ones from Sam's to do later.

Here is an example of what everyone is talking about.

Most recent one done while up in the white mountains:

Did this one in april here in the valley:
