I was watching Sorted Food a few days ago and they were trying out different viral foods. One definitely caught my eye. It was a chopped sandwich. The ingredients are pretty much an Italian here so that is what I will call it.
I raided Walmart's deli section to get what I needed. When I was looking for rolls I found the Cheesecake Factory brown rolls and there was no stopping me.
This is an Italian sub but you chop up and mix the ingredients before placing them in the bun.
Chopped Italian Sub Ingredients:
Provolone Cheese
Swiss Cheese
Ham
Salami
Pepperoni
Iceberg Lettuce
Banana Peppers
Onion
Tomatoes
Chopped Italian Sub Seasoning:
Italian Dressing
Red Wine Vinegar
Italian Seasoning
Chopped Italian Sub Bread:
Any Submarine Sandwich roll will do but the Cheesecake Factory brown bread rolls are amazing.
This takes a little time but is so worth it. Chop everything into 1/2" squares. Make sure to separate the layers.
Do this until you have it all done and mix it up well.
This will last a while as long as you store it and only take what you need for the meal. Take what you need for now and add the seasonings.
Place it in a bun and get ready to do a back flip. This is so much better than a normal Italian sub. You get everything good in every bite.
I just had 1/3 of this at 1am and will have more when I wake up tomorrow. Most of the rest was stored in a sealed container to make more in the following days.
