Recipe was emailed out on January 5th. Prepping to make it today and had planned the day accordingly, but just found conflicting info.

Helpful Information shows a cook time of 4 hours, but the recipe itself shows 1 1/2.  Anyone have any insight?  Thanks!

Your probably looking at about 1 1/2 hours.

But you need to check the salmon for doneness with a therm.

140-145 is done or until it just flakes apart with a fork.

Personally I like it a little rare so we take salmon out of the smoker at 130 & let it rest a few minutes.

You need to provide more info from the recipe.  What temp are they calling for?  How big is the pieces of Salmon?   Most of my Salmon filets are smoked 3-4 hour but at very low temps.  I start out at 125*,  then 130*, etc.

So you have a recipe for cherry smoked salmon. And want to know if 1 1/2 hours should be 4.

Considering all that helpful information, my best guess is : huh?
Cold vs hot?
Cured?
Siize of pieces?
Type of salmon?
Temperatures?
Duh?
