Has any one ever used deer meat to make chicken fried steak? I was thinking it would be good and wanted to hear what you aal thought.

Chicken Fried Zucchini is good.... venison has to be better than that.....  don't over cook it.....   Dave

I grew up on chicken fried deer meat, one of my most favor things!
That's why I never make venison sausage, most of the deer goes for chicken fried and I also like swedish meatballs made from deer.
Family tradition.

Hey Diggindog do you have recipe for your chicken fried deer that you can share with me?
I've never made any chicken fried steak before so I really don't know where to start.

We've never followed a recipe closely, we slice the meat about 1/4 inch thick and then pound it in flour seasoned with black pepper, seasoned salt and a pinch of nutmeg....fry in butter.

MMMMmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!

Awesome I'm gonna give this a try soon we had some venison made into cube steak do you think I should use that or just cut some thin steaks up and pound them out?

I like the cubed cuts, as it allows for more seasoning to penetrate the meat and it helps with the tenderness.

It's also better if you have a deep fryer.
