charcoal chimney question

Could someone use a old coffee can for lighting the charcoal?

sure - drill (or the texas way -buck shot-quick fast)a few holes & tack weld a handle to it- works fer a lot here. 3lb folgers metal or max house(folger's went to plastic).

Thanks, I figured it would work but since I hadn't read about it maybe there was problem with the metal. Cause I got tonnes of cans so why not right?

sure - metal can, metal handle or just metal can - works just fine. i buy metal can coffee just for the cans to rinse & save potato, fish, chix, grease to reuse- depends on the meal. or to cool & toss. getting "green " here
