Wheels and firebox door I found the door online it was a whole lot easier than trying to make something I think it gives it a good look Wheels also turned out very nice along with a special attachment that we made The grill sits on feet with the wheels free-floating when it’s time to move the grill you lift it up and the wheels and axle fall into another chamber and then you can push the grill where you want Then came the stack & collection box Went with an octagon top instead of a circle so much easier to cut plus it’s a total different look

I looked at so many post so many different cookers on the site and it was a lot of different opinions for types of deflector plates. Flat pieces of steel or a door that you can adjust I even saw a picture of one shaped like a V But the way I designed the reverse flow plates They rise 1 inch in 24 inches from the center out The center of the RF plates sit on a 2 1/2 inch piece of angle iron and that is where the hip roof / pyramid shaped deflector plate is welded to The heat and smoke from the fire hits that deflector plate and then the reverse flow plays and creates almost a convectional oven type of draw. It’s amazing when the smoke comes out of the stack and spinning 2 different ways

After soaking the grill with some super clean degreaser I put some metal edge on it and took away all the surface rust that had occurred on the cooker while the process of making then came the paint. Four cans of rust oleum 1200° paint the flat then sprayed the cooker with the rust oleum satin high temperature paint with a compressor and a very very good spraygun Afterwords painted the great on the outside with rust oleum hammered dark bronze and the angle line all the way around the grill legs included with a hammer black rust oleum paint it turned out so nice

I knew it cooked very even just a few times we cooked on it at the shop. But as I was scrolling through some sites I really test they do with biscuits as you can see they all cooked pretty much the same on the tops and when I turned them over they were all the same except for the four in the middle on the bottom rack and they were just a shade or two darker than the rest overall a very very pleased with its performance

A few things cooked at home The last two pictures are about 30 chicken thighs cooked three different ways and some Boston butt strips seasoned with the rub I make up for ribs cut into small pcs like burnt ends They went to the gentleman & guys who allowed one of his workers to use a state body truck with a hydraulic lift on it to get this approximately 625/650 pound beast home

Damn!!!
You got yourself one hell of ah cooker there, the FLIR photo say it all then you backed it up with the most impressive biscuit test that I've ever seen. I'd be stoked to own that beast congratulations on one heck of job with the build and the results.

Heck of a job.
Dan:emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup:

PS. your food looks grub'in as well.

WOW! Very impressive. The FLIR really does show the great heat distribution.

So when you going to start your first production run? Might have some takers for this.

That is a beauty!
I wish I had the opportunity to have a shop like that!
And your skills are impressive!
Awesome smoker!!
