Can I use this barrel without burning it out?

Will I be able to use this barrel for a UDS build without having to burn out the inside of it?

I noticed it doesn't have any bung holes on top. I'd look for a lid that has two holes on top. Do you have any info about a lining inside?

if it doesn't have a liner why do I need to burn it out?
