Picked up a nice boneless pork butt this morning, sliced it into steaks, then sliced the steaks into strips. Rubbed them with some Arthur Bryant rub that I picked up at Bass Pro and let them rest for a few hours, then onto some bamboo skewers and into the MES.

Here's the before picture, see you in about 2 hours for the after shots!

And we're back... 2.5 hours in the MES and the result looks good. I decided to whip up some BBQ sauce and brush these down in the last 30 minutes.

Whipped up a pan of baked beans that cooked with the meat in the smoker.

Time to finish a few pieces of corn on the grill and then it's chow time...

Notable today was how much of a pain in the ass the AMNPS was today. For whatever reason it would not stay lit. I restarted it 6 times in 2 hours? It usually works fine in my MES. Not sure what happened today.

I used pecan today. I actually just got a brand new bag of them from Todd. Not sure what happened but it was being stubborn today. I have a feeling having the pan of beans in there disrupted the air flow because after I took them out the AMPNS fired right back up and threw out TBS for another hour until it burned out.

That could be the pan of beans.

I mainly wondered if it was Cherry pellets, because I even have trouble keeping them going, unless I mix them with something else.
