I'm sure they won't!!! they'll catch them,it'll go to trail get a slap on the hand the nof to do what they want!!! That is what's wrong with our country!!! There should be serious consequences for your actions but seems like our justice sytem has changed the rules from back in the day!!! DO hope they catch them though!!!

My location says "in my own little world" but my little world is East Tx. I think this may be like when Ozzie Osborn took a whiz on the Alamo; he was lucky that he was caught by the cops instead of a Texan. These church burning scum better hope they are caught by the cops instead of local folks. It could get nasty and it should.

A nation of sheep begets a government of wolves

Wasn't there someone burning churches in the south a couple of years ago? Did they find out who was doing that? Maybe they have moved to Texas. There is no excuse for burning churches.

We had some wacko in Iowa several years ago doing this. I think he got several done before he got caught. If memory serves (and it rarely does) he ended up pleading insanity.

When I was a kid I went to Catholic School. I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade when our church was burned down. I don't think they ever caught the guy. But as a little kid I remember being scared to go to school because I thought that would be next. The school was attached to the church.

If they are caught, a 'slap on the wrist' is highly unlikely. Arson is a second degree felony in the state of Texas, which carries a sentence of 2 to 20 years. Its a first degree felony if it involves a church or if it injures or kills someone, in which case, it may carry a life sentence. Remember this is TEXAS were talking about here, whose juries don't take too kindly to folks defacing/burning to the ground churches.

Like others were saying, church burnings are not a new phenomenon in the south, though most of those throughout history have been race related and perpetrated by white supremacists. If this was the case, the perpatrators would face a number of federal hate-crime charges on top of the arson charges. Though from what it sounds like, its just a bunch of idiots who like to burn things to taunt the ATF and 'authority'. They better hope nobody gets killed, cause the death penalty is still legal in Texas.

I saw this at work today. I work for an insurance company that is one the largest insurers of churches in the country. A few of those churches are our customers.

The ATF has a $25,000 reward and the company I work for has another $15,000 reward per case trying to find the person responsible. Hopefully the idiot(s) get caught soon.

Gee I wonder....
If these had been 9 or 10 Gay owned coffee shops, Obama and every liberal congressman would be flying to Texas making speeches demanding special new laws to prosecute those responsible for hate crimes, and specialized legal status for those attacked. No instead they are just main stream Christian churches, no one pays attention, business as usual.

What tickles me is whether or not they get caught by Texas authorities it won't matter because sooner or later it will all become moot.

I know that they will be standing before a much higher court and rumour has it that Saint Peter may be a Texan at heart.

I hope they catch the sickos soon.
