Coming from the Tulsa Oklahoma area (Owasso) I have purchased a Traeger and sold my stick burner. My question is, can I still smoke during a burn ban since I technically don't have a fire going. Thank you for your time.
Hi Todd...welcome to the group! I use my pellet grill no matter what, but I live in the country. If you live in Owasso, you might call the city and ask...they tend to be more strict about cooking out and burn bans in suburban areas.
BTW I have family that live over there...my son and DIL bought a house in Owasso back in the fall.
<edit> I guess I should add, I don't worry about burn bans with the smoker, either. Although this year, we've been lucky and not had to worry about it at all!
I tried looking for the title and section in the Oklahoma State Statues. I think I'm good because it's on a concrete slab and treagers aren't really a so called open fire pit smoker.
Really appreciate the response!
