Being a RI'er and a Pats fan it's a big day for us so it's definitely a smoker day but it's also forecast to be the coldest weather of the season thus far and very windy. So the 'ol MES will be getting wrapped in the welding blanket and the Auber has it's own insulated sleeve I made out of an oven mitt.Because of the weather I'm going to keep it fairly simple and go with no wrap spares as I plan to only open the door twice...when the ribs go in and when they come out!

Meanwhile back in Colorado, its flip flop weather :emoji_rolling_eyes:

Pretty jealous of everyone with a real winter...

Here in VA it’s 36F and my Traeger is wearing the blanket proudly while toasting some pecans for a pie.🤣

Supposed to not get any higher than 11℉ but maybe a few degrees warmer at the immediate coast but the trade off is the wind.

I get it that in other parts of the world it gets colder and it snows more but I live in extreme coastal RI and it hasn't been above freezing in a couple of weeks, when the salt has ice on it it's freaking cold. And once again it is snowing like a you know what and the temp is dropping and the wind is picking up.Tomorrow will barely make it into the teens with lots of wind and there will be plenty of snow to move once again.

Just got done moving some snow and broke out the heat gun to bust the MES out of it's ice cacoon for tomorrow's ribs.I'm getting to old for this crap...oven ribs don't sound so bad right about now!

Dang I was looking forward some @seenred style of welding up a new smoker or something for the weekend.
