Man Rick, you sure have that bread making down. Looks so tasty as per usual… nicely done my friend!

Lookin good as always, the wife and I were just talking this morning about making some sourdough. She asked if I knew how, I said no, but I know a guy. 👍

tell more about it.
I let my starters get weak . Taking 24 hours to get a reaction out of them , never did double .
Tried baking with them and some added yeast , just not good . No rise .
So I took them down to about 20 grams and fed 1:1:1 for about a week .
So yesterday I got them out of the fridge , fed both ( I keep 2 jars ) and I built one in my tall jar for baking . 50 grams starter , 50 water , 50 flour . Set it on the counter , and an hour later it was more than doubled . Had that vanilla smell to it .
So I mixed up a loaf . I did add 5 grams of yeast as insurance ( moral boost )
It came out good . More like sandwich bread , but kids were all over it at supper .
