Brand new in the Smoker club

Hey everyone!

     My name is Jason and I live in Escondido, California. I am a USMC Veteran and in a month or so I will be attending the San Diego Police Department academy! My whole family back in Pennsylvania, especially my dad, has been smoking way before I was born and I want to keep the tradition going! My wife bought me a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for my birthday (today), and would love any pointers and advice!
