Using sous vide to reheat bbq from the freezer peaked my interest and now Reading threads on here has me interested in trying to do more.

What are the essential must knows?
Is investing in a dedicated container for the SV worth it?

What does a rookie need to know?

Dedicated cheap containers as seen above. You're not breaking the bank on any of them. Do some reading on these tables. Good info.

Or get an Instant Pot that has variable temps and pressure levels. Use vacuum sealed bags of.....whatever you want. Minimum of two hours.

Good idea, Is that PVC on the bottom? I'm guessing that's to keep the meat off the bottom and allow some sort of flow to go inder the meat?
I use this in the Coleman cooler i posted above. It's great for keeping food off the bottom and separated for circulation.
