The boy turned 10 and asked for beef ribs for his birthday dinner. Ordered 29lbs and smoked them yesterday. Did them a few ways.

Two racks with A1, salt, pepper, and onion powder.

Two racks with mustard and a spicy maple honey rub.

Two racks with mustard and a sweet and smoky rub.

Smoked them at 230 for 5 1/2 hours with maple then put them on the grill to finish them off.

We had 16 adults and 4 kids and had some leftovers.

That's a whole heap of rib-goodness right there.

Point for sure.

Your a couple months late on my birthday. But to be fair - I'll just take one rack since its past. LOL
Those were some really good looking ribs. What was your favorite? And if you don't say all 3. Your 10 year old needs to smack you. LOL. Is the spicy maple rub store bought or do you make it?

Those are some great looking ribs! I am jealous. Point for ya!

When you ordered them what did you tell the butcher you wanted? When ever I axk around here all I am offered are are individual ribs, I want racks!

Fine looking ribs there glad to see your son at his age asking for something smoked. Next time bring him in on the rubbing and preparing never to young to learn.

Thanks. Guests (family) loved them. Sent the in-laws home with a doggy bag. (Points).

Thanks, Challenger. I ask for them straight from the case before they cut them or package them. Typically the stores near me cut them in half lengthwise and sell them as half racks. I like them whole.
