I think I made a mistake by buying a boneless pork butt for my first venture into butts?

It is in netting to keep it together while it cooks.

Anyone ever smoke a boneless butt? Did I blow it?

Thanks in advance for any input!!

I have done both. I prefer whole bone in butts. Although the boneless ones I have done have turned out just as good.

Boneless is just as good. You might unwrap that butt and lay it out. You get more surface for rub and bark formation and it will cook faster. By the way please post pictures, we love pictures.
