Bone In Butts ECB

My plan for the 4th is 2 B/In butts. Total weight 15 lbs ish. Question:Both on top or 1 on top and 1 on water pan?

Maybe more meat than smoker. D'oh!!

If you made the mods to you ECB I would do one on top and one underneath, no water, then rotate about halfway through the smoke

Thanks for the reply.  Keep pan in place to difuse smoke and heat, correct?  Empty pan or sand?
