Decided to spin a pork butt this weekend and catch the juices to pour back in to the pull.  Went over a oak and maple fire using the OctoForks to hold it in place. The plan was to cook part of it direct and when the juices started going good put a drip pan under and finish indirect. Finished with a nice mahogany color and very juicy so I suppose it was a good day!

Damn!  That color is beauiful!  About how hot did you have it running?  and how long did it take?  Points!!
Thanks!  I always aim for mahogany with some bark.  This being cooked over a fire the temps varied but it was about a 400* average.   I went 250*ish when it was direct and cranked it up when it was indirect.
