Well pretty much whatever you want :emoji_laughing: We've been picking berries for about two weeks now and it won't be ending anytime soon. Some of you have seen me post up about blueberries before but if not here's some pics. We have several different varieties so we harvest over a longer period of time. Probably going to add more then open a U-Pick it would be a lot less work picking for us.

That's a whole lot of antioxidants right there. Nice looking berries Jerry.

Very nice crop of berry's
We have 3 high bush BB's.
We and I mean mostly Mona eats them all. Nothing for her to get a couple bowls a day for snacking and on her ceral everyday.
Wish I had more plants to be able to freeze and do up some jam

We have a fairly large wild bb patch behind our lake cabin. Haven't gotten any berries the last couple years due to dry conditions. This looks to be a good year as we have had plenty moisture and they are looking strong so far. They are leafing out nicely. I mowed about half the patch two years ago and that part seems to look better than the part I didn't. From what I've read the farmers in Canada will burn off or mow wild bb fields every two or three years to keep healthy production.

I love Blueberries and would eat them all day long if I could grow my own.

I really like all of the pictures in your post Jerry.

POINT

I went through a good stretch of tweeking a Blueberry cobbler recipe till I was happy with it. Made a bunch of them, then my GF's Mom developed a sugar problem and I quit. Living by myself I just can't eat that much cobbler.

About 300-350 plants right now and we picked around 18-20 gallons of berries today
Holy moly!! That’s a bunch of berries. My wife loves to munch them or put on salads. I like to snack on a few when they are nice and ripe. You ever made a bbq or hot sauce with them?

I have not tried that Jeff
does anything get to them?
deer? bear? birds? squirrels? foxes? groundhogs? chipmunks? insects?
ok i'll stop naming critters
i can't keep herbs on my deck
Yes deer and birds are the worst problems
A sign out by the road - "Jerry's Berries". I'd be all over that. We take the grands to a U-Pick-It farm down the road to pick both blueberries and strawberries. They get a kick out of that...
That's kind of the plan heading forward I think. We have grown strawberries both in the ground and hydroponically and may do that again as a U-Pick as well. Not sure just what we want to do.
Wow awesome Jerry I can help dispose of some I could use all you send me. :emoji_laughing:
Warren I'm not sure how they'd do trying to ship them.

Thanks for the comments
