Those are a lot bigger than what I'm used to.Most of the ones caught in the Delaware run between 19" and 21".

You might have the "Hickory Shad", a smaller species.

That might be good. We used to tell the old story about making a Shad on an oak board, and then throw the Shad away & eat the board. They are like the boniest fish in the world ! Some say they make them in a way that you can eat the bones, like canned salmon.Need to 'kipper' about a dozen of them suckers!! You can have the roe, I'll take the real meat LOLOL
