Hi there, any thoughts please on the title of this thread.
Kind regards and thanks Matt.

I see no replies yet...I suspect many of the gurus here may be wanting more info...

Short answer:  depends on your preferences

Longer answer:  pellet smokers average a little lighter smoke flavor than other methods.  If you're smoking much, you should be able to get the flavors you want with either smoker--the deciding factors edging more toward price, capacity, purpose, etc

Maybe not the answer you were looking for...but I hope it helps...

Best taste?  That is kinda subjective...what I like, you might think sucks.  As already stated, it all kinda depends on lots of factors:  preferences, capacity, cost, etc.  I am sure that whatever you decide to go with, you can make great 'que with it.  I own an electric smoker (not a cookshack) and like it alot.  Never used a pellet rig, but like the looks of them.

Matt
I own electric and pellet. Can't say the flavors are all that different in either one although I wasn't getting enough smoke flavor out of the pellet muncher (as supercenter said) so I went with an AMAZN smoke tube and fixed that problem. Keep in mind pellets tend to be about a buck /lb unless u have a local supplier and as for cookshack electric.... they make a nice unit but there is a clone or two out there that have been getting great reviews....Smokin It is one.
Hope this helps a bit.
