Although the 700 is Wi-Fi capable I wanted to use my trusty Tappecue to test if the units temp settings were correct. For a perfect 225 chamber temp I need to set the smoker at 220. No big deal. It holds temp rock solid.

Hi Ed. The 700 does indeed have the 40 pound hopper located in the back. I’m guessing this butt will take 20 pounds of pellets . Maybe a bit more. This is the first cook and we are just getting to know each other lol. So I’m not 100% sure how many pounds it will burn.So how’s the pellet consumption go does that one still have a 40lb hopper
Thank you my good friend. BAwesome man, that's lookin great!
So far I really like it. BI have had a 680 for about 5 years. Now I really want a 700...LOL
